Edrawings Pro 2017 Suite

Geometric Limited, a leader in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Global Engineering Services and Offshore Product Development (OPD) solutions and technologies, has released Release 2017 is eDrawings Suite, for supply accurate representations of 3D models and 2D drawings created with the most widely used CAD systems in the market.

eDrawings for MultiCAD is a series of products from Geometric Ltd. which enables users to publish complete design information from multiple CAD platforms into the industry-standard eDrawings format and email them to multiple review recipients for feedback and reviews. The products are easy to use and are currently available for AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER and Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire.

eDrawings for MultiCAD is marketed in two packages, a free viewer which also features a basic publisher, and eDrawings Professional which has advanced visualization and collaboration features. The free viewer provides the users with the ability to publish designs which can be emailed across to recipients. However, eDrawings published by the free viewer do not enable the advanced professional features in the product.

Users can publish and email highly compact, self-extracting eDrawings to multiple reviewers with eDrawings Professional. With the Professional version of the product, you can:

- Share product designs with review-enabled eDrawings and collaborate with your extended team
- Receive feedback on product design data from an unlimited number of recipients
- Manage, track, and merge comments from different team members
- Provide anyone with access to design data with self-extracting eDrawings
- Examine internal details of parts and assemblies with dynamic cross-sectioning
- Measure the geometry in part, assembly, and drawing files when dimensions are absent
- Disable the measurement feature to protect sensitive design data

Drawing Layout
Open individual views in a drawing and arrange them as desired, regardless of how the views were arranged in the original drawing. eDrawings automatically arranges the views intelligently and enables printing and exporting of any subset of a drawing.

Hyperlinking
Simply click on any view annotation and the corresponding view is immediately
highlighted, making navigating a drawing as easy as browsing a web page.

3D Pointer
Easily identify and match geometry in multiple drawing views, allowing easier interpretation when comparing the same location within different views.

Point-and-click Animation
Quickly interpret and understand any SOLIDWORKS drawing by dynamically viewing the 3D model as it automatically rotates through each drawing view.

View Design Analyses
Easily share design analysis results created by SOLIDWORKS Simulation.

View SOLIDWORKS Plastics Analyses
Review output from SOLIDWORKS Plastics and share the analysis of the plastic injection manufacturibility of molded parts.

Save in STL and other file formats
Take advantage of eDrawings files for rapid prototyping and presentation purposes by saving files in STL, TIFF, JPEG, or BMP formats.
